Delete your account

You can request deletion of your YourGolf account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and what must be retained for legal reasons.
Option 1 - Delete from the app
- Open the YourGolf app (Player or Pro)
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap "Delete account"
- Confirm the deletion
Option 2 - Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email from the address registered on your account. Include your full name and, if possible, the email used to sign up.

What will be deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo, biography)
- Golf rounds, scorecards, and training logs
- Uploaded videos and swing analyses
- Bookings, lesson notes, and messages with trainers
- AI chat history and Seamus / Laura feedback
- Subscription, credit balance, and authentication records
What is retained (anonymized)
Swedish bookkeeping law (Bokföringslagen) requires us to retain financial transaction records for seven (7) years. After your account is deleted, any remaining records of lesson payments, refunds, and in-app purchases are anonymized - your name, email, and other identifying fields are removed, and only the accounting data (amount, date, VAT) is kept. This data cannot be linked back to you.
How long does it take?
In-app deletion is usually completed within a few minutes. Email requests are handled within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.
